A year since a journal update, you say? Four months since any new art, and ten since anything finished, you say?
Well, in a sentence, I haven't had any new art to share - and indeed, haven't done anything aside from what's already here - because in the last year I moved, started a business and had a baby. Natasha was born last July and has definitely kept me very busy.
I will be attending three conventions this year - Ad Astra in Toronto April 13-15, Gen Con in Indianapolis August 16-19 and Fan Expo in Toronto August 23-26 - but no longer as an artist; I will be representing Brain Lag, my scifi/fantasy novel publishing company. We have three books, including my second, Halcyon, a scifi novel about a computer virus that targets cybernetic implants, and Ruins of Change by J. R. Dwornik - for which I shared the cover art last year - an epic fantasy about a treasure hunter who finds more than she bargained for. For more information about our books and to purchase paper or ebook copies, be sure to visit the website. (Halcyon is not yet available, but will be this spring.)
Honestly, between the baby and the business I don't anticipate having much new art to share for a while, but you can keep track of my goings-on through my Livejournal. Hopefully after Halcyon is released and Ad Astra is over things will settle down enough for me to work on some art. I have read some very good art instruction books recently and am eager to work on improving...
